Microsoft Fix a Weakness in Windows Xp, Vista and Windows 7


Microsoft has issued an emergency patch to fix the 'hole' in the Windows operating system software. If left weakness allows hackers to control a computer through the internet.
"These weaknesses allow remote code execution if a special icon created for the shortcut is displayed," said Microsoft spokesman Christopher Budd via bulletin circulated, quoted by the Straits Times, Tuesday

The software update will fix the damage on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

"We are aware that in the last few days, we have seen the growing damage. We are confident that with this launch is the best thing for our customers," Budd said.

Microsoft is expected to launch such repairs as soon as possible and users are advised to run Windows update system to install programs such repairs to ensure computers are protected from damage.

The first time Microsoft has warned Windows users about the damage on 16 July. Experts have advised Windows users to use solutions that already exist on each computer before the improvement program was launched.
